The biggest story must be the forthcoming launch of Fronter, the London MLE. This allows collaboration between schools in London.
But the MLE is not the only way we can work with other schools...
Miss O'Neill in the Languages Department used discussion forums to collaborate with a school in Germany
Miss O'Neill setup a discussion forum for year 10 students to share with a school in Germany.
A German Y10 group has been collaborating with a school in
Hannover to improve each other's English and German skills.
It started
with a letter exchange, and our year 10s marked a piece of work from the
other school.
We then set up a discussion forum, with different topics such as Sport,
school, my home town and general discussion. There is also a few word
games and a thread for the students to teach each other slang in their
own languages.
We will use the discussion board for coursework
preparation in Y11..
